Admission to RCA

The application and audition process has officially closed for the 2025-2026 school year.  We had over 200 applicants for our program.  You are still welcome to apply using the link below and will be placed on a waitlist for the school.  We recommend you apply next year between October 1 and February 15.

CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Once you fill out your application and hit submit, you do not need to fill out another application.  You should receive a notice thanking you for applying.  If you want to check to make sure your application was received, please email us at hannonj@cestrumbull.org to ask if the submission was received.

Admission to the Regional Center for the Arts is open to Fairfield County high schools students with an interest in the performing arts. RCA is a public school of choice for families in Bridgeport, Darien, Easton/Region #9, Fairfield, Greenwich, Monroe, New Canaan, Norwalk, Oxford, Redding, Ridgefield, Shelton, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston, Westport, and Wilton. We also accept students from school outside of our region. RCA students earn academic credits for our program. Grades are sent to the home high school quarterly.

Admission Process
As part of the admission process we ask students to participate in a placement audition for us to better understand her or his experience as a performer. It also gives us the chance to gauge the passion students have for the performing arts. Once you apply, you will be sent an audition packet with what to prepare.  Auditions will take place on Saturday, February 22 and March 1. We hope to send out invitations to students in April.

Enrollment Caps
Some districts and departments may need to cap their enrollment at RCA. If our enrollment from a district or in a particular department exceeds the cap, we conduct a lottery of prospective students, and those who are not offered a seat will be placed on a waiting list.
